The brief was "An Environmental Challenge," and entrants into Electrolux's Design Lab competition this year certainly rose to it. Design Lab is an annual global design competition, run by Elecrolux, open to undergraduate and graduate industrial design students who are invited to present innovative ideas for household appliances of the future. The Fog Shower, by Joo Diego Schimansky of Brazil's Potificia Universidade Catlica do Parana, was a finalist with its energy and water-saving properties. The eco-friendly shower uses only 2-litres of water for a 5-minute shower compared with an incredible 26-litre average for today's most efficient water-saving showerheads. Bathe in a steamy fog of fine microscopic water droplets as the Fog Shower gently cleanses you of your troubles. A concept at the moment, this is definitely a product to keep an eye on.
